custom press-on nail art sets
Velvety cat's eye topped with a yellow jelly, and finished with a golden unicorn chrome create effortless layers of color and shine. The statement nails feature the same chrome over a sheer nude, accented by daisy and jonquil decals and pearls for the feeling of a lazy July afternoon.
My favorite trending technique of this summer is unicorn chrome over cat eye polish. It's a great effect for any watery themed set, adding an extra layer of depth and interest. Here, this neon pink jelly and magnetic polish are toped with a pink and purple chrome for a feeling of a west coast sunset. By contrast, purple foil, blue chrome, and white vines give an impression of deep twilight.
A big line art project! Marbles was such an impulse buy, but she's SOOOO soft, I couldn't help it. She brings me joy every time I see her. And, behold: I have her exact color palette in my collection! I'm especially thrilled about the holo cat eye topcoat - how perfect is that??? The deep French tips were just supposed to be a classy choice for the rest of the nails, but they mimic the unicorn horn so elegantly. :)
FIREWORKS!!! I went longer than I usually like for this set because I absolutely needed the extra room for all this shine! The magnetic polish is blue with a purple shift, giving it a hint of that post-firework haze in the night sky. Leaving the magnet polish slightly splotchy also adds a galaxy effect which I liked a lot.
Bougie: Pride Hearts
My first time experimenting with a permanent photo prop that I hope becomes a staple, but also LOOK HOW CUTE THOSE HEATS CAME OUT??? Each nail features the flag colors of different queer communities: aromantic, asexual, bisexual, gay, gender-fluid, lesbian, non-binary, pansexual, polysexual, and transexual.
I couldn't believe it was already the middle of May, but I hadn't done anything with mermaids yet! The trend may be 3D gel shell effects, but I wanted to take this moment to practice my line art skills. All I knew was that I wanted pink and blue, fantasy mermaid princess nails with LOADS of glitter and baubles. I'd say the lines are a little thick, but not bad for a first attempt!
A quick Basic set between art-heavy concepts. Just a happy pink with a glitter topcoat - but how can you go wrong with that?
Bougie - Blueberry Milk
I saw these blueberry decals in 2024 and immediately knew what I wanted to use them for: a soft, sweet set for a Taurus birthday. The bright blue with creamy white and chocolate milk brown gave exactly the aesthetic I was hoping for, almost country Lolita-core. It also turned out to be the perfect way to use up these milky blue crystals I've had for a million years. Happy 33 to me!
Bougie: Easter Eggs
The short almond tips were perfect for a set inspired by colorful Easter eggs. I got to play withe glass nail technique for a stained glass effect on the statement fingers, as well as a nod to the Celtic cross with the rhinestones. Perfect for church AND my birthday! (Hence the selfie on the West Ashley Greenway)
Baddie: Year of the Snake
I had some SERIOUS fun experimenting with nail art for Lunar New Year. I was so inspired by this Gong Cha coupon, and I couldn't pass up the chance to try something new and exciting.
Baddie - Christmas Kitsch
I couldn't wait to use these pastels and holographic decals! It really was the Christmas set of my dreams. Bonus: it was on trend with 2024's seasonal aesthetic, so I got a great photoshoot at my Michael's craft store! (Enjoy the face reveal, fam.)
